At the same time, Si-Al alloy also has excellent properties such as good thermal conductivity, high specific strength and stiffness, good coating with gold, silver, copper and nickel, weldable with substrate, easy precision machining and so on.

The important silicon-aluminum alloy in industry can be divided into four categories:
Hypoeutectic silicon aluminum alloy. The silicon content is between 9% and 12%.
Eutectic silicon aluminum alloy. The silicon content is 11% to 13%.
Hypereutectic silicon aluminum alloy. The silicon content is 15% to 20%.
High silicon aluminum alloy. The content of silicon is more than 22%, mainly 25-70%, up to 80%.
